Coaching Yourself To Understand Digital Assets And Crypto. A Step-By-Step Guide

Do you want to know how to get started with your digital asset and crypto knowledge journey or help someone else? Here is a self-coaching process and guide showing you how!

We are in the 4th industrial revolution and it is digital. Digital assets/ currencies are here to stay, whether you like it or not.

When you think about it, digital assets and currencies are already with us. A variety of government grants and vouchers are distributed digitally. Many companies offer digital refunds/ vouchers or other forms of digital currency for buying products and services online.

Governments, banks and companies are now making significant changes and adaptions in policies and protocols to accommodate digital currency.

The Hong Kong government has recently introduced their new e-currency the e-HKD. Ensuring this is legislated and compliant.

Raffles Family Office, a company offering an investment platform for ultra high-net-worth families is the first in Asia to future-proof their business and that of their clients by setting up Revo Digital Family Office. This platform is specifically positioned to invest, maximise and protect digital currency/assets. As well as convert them from digital to traditional currency and vice versa.

The next generation is welcoming digital assets with open arms. Embracing the change and really understanding what this means for the world going forward. NFTs, Web3 and virtual reality are common words throughout this new world population.

So how do you adapt to this change and start to understand what you need to do to keep up with this evolving environment?

Ask yourself 3 self-coaching questions:

  1. What happens if I don’t evolve and learn about digital assets/ currency and these changes?

  2. What happens when I do evolve and start to learn?

  3. What is stopping me from learning about this? Is it fear of change or not being able to understand the changes? Is pride stopping me from asking for help? Or another reason?

If you decide to move forward and start learning, make an action plan. Step by step.

Step 1. Choose your method/s of learning.

YouTube, Coursera or LinkedIn Learning have free and paid classes which can help. Learn at your own pace and online.

Choose a digital asset investment and education partner like Revo Digital Family Office who is open to helping you understand your digital assets or your family's. This can help you make better decisions together about investments and learn at the same time without any commitment needed. Or ask a friend or colleague who can help you.

Step 2. Choose to create a habit/ set a goal for your learning.

Atomic Habits a book by James Clear uses a similar strategy to goal setting also used by Executive Coaches. Choose small, achievable changes in your habits that you are certain to enjoy and adhere to, making the changes time focused and rewarding. Research has also shown that writing down and creating a plan can help you complete it.

For example, set the following goal and create a new habit:

‘I am going to watch a 10-minute video from YouTube on digital assets every Monday at 7 pm. The outcome will be that I learn, am more informed and can talk to my children about the safety of their future investments.’

‘I am going to find someone who can help me learn about digital assets through a knowledgeable digital assets investment platform or via skill swapping/ friends/family/ colleagues. My search starts Monday and I will find 2 people to talk to by Friday.’

Setting the intention to learn and take the first step towards understanding the digital asset environment will help reduce the fear of being left behind.

Choosing the right media/ platform/ people to learn from and breaking it down to get started might just be one of the smartest moves you make to go forward and future-proof yourself and future generations to come.

It is time to start today if you want to ensure you stay current and up-to-date with your digital asset journey.
